My Sister Gave Me Herpes How Do I Tell My Mom

My mother has asked me to tell my father that she has been diagnosed with genital herpes. I do not think you should tell his wife first-that should be up to him. Dad, there is no easy way to say this, Mom has been diagnosed with genital herpes and gave me the unpleasant task of telling you, which I think isn’t quite cool of her, but I’m doing it anyhow. As we all know, talking about having herpes is often harder than actually living with the virus. My sister knew my situation and offered to tell my parents that she had HPV, which she hadn’t told them yet, so that I wouldn’t be alone. The advantage of telling my family is that they can listen to me and help me when I’m upset or feeling ill with symptoms. If you are not close to your family you may find it’s better not to tell them about your herpes, or at least to be cautious about how much information you give. How do I deal with it? I went to the dermatologist after my Ped couldn’t treat my DS facial rash. He looked at me and said the mother can pass it to her baby in the birth canal. It is one thing if your preemie catches something associated with prematurity and you couldn’t do anything about it-But this? Something with no cure? My sisters. mom. stepdad. Everyone I know basically has cold sores ( in their mouthlips).

Most children who do develop it, give it to themselves from their own oral herpes infection. This freaks me out as my youngest (9 month old) has eczema, and our family sometimes reuses towels, which we will now STOP doing (was just diagnosed with type 2 genital herpes a few days ago). I’m a 15 year old virgin and my mom has herpes and I am very scared me and my sister could get them from using the same towel. When my son’s school called to tell me had a rash on his face that looked aggravated I wanted to die. I wonder if there are any other parents on here that can help me deal with this in a positive way? Or anyone who is of a similar age who can let me know how they really feel; my daughter is very withdrawn at the moment. It must have taken a lot of courage for her to tell you in the first place so i’d be incredibly grateful that she has opened up to you about this at all and is willing to share this, i dont have a mother and my dad isnt the best when it comes to give me (his only daughter) advice on womanly issues haaaaa! Go with her to her next appointment with the sexual health clinic if they will allow it and ask questions yourself, thats what they are there for in the end right? just be an ear and a shoulder for her if you know what i mean. I’m very lucky that she is open and honest with me, we do have a brilliant relationship, very close – thank god. But I am now wondering, should I tell my mom about my genital herpes? Then I find this WONDERFUL GUY and I tell him before we even get into a relationship. Again, a blood test confirmed that I do have the herpes 1 virus. I ask to keep my gf safe because she likes to give me oral so we are trying to educate ourselves on the do’s & don’ts because we were wondering is it safe to lick in places that the lesions are not due to the fact that i only have a small spot on the shaft right below the head? We really would appreciate your feedback Thanks in advance!
