If this is true, how long does it take the valtrex to get out of my system so I can start breastfeeding? When I had my son (who will be 2 soon) , I had a c-section (unrelated to herpes). I guess the title says it all I have a hsv 2 outbreak (genital herpes ) and baby is only 3 weeks old. My doctor says it is alright but I hate the fact.
